Your schedule from a photo
Take a photo of the sheet from your waste operator and AI extracts the waste types and days. You check it and fix anything if needed. In Oradea and the villages around it, the official schedule comes in automatically.
Any frequency
Weekly, every few weeks, monthly (say, the first Tuesday of the month) or on fixed dates, holiday changes included. The schedule keeps itself up to date, year after year.
Reminders at your time
One notification the evening before and one on the morning of the pickup, at the time you choose. Answer “Bins are out!” or “Not needed” right from the notification.

On the home screen, bins with eyes wait by the house. One tap rolls them to the gate and grows your streak; the history is in the calendar.

What goes in each bin
The standard colors used in Romania. Exact rules can vary between operators.
Paper & cardboard
- Yes:Newspapers, magazines, notebooks, flattened cardboard boxes, paper bags
- No:Used tissues and dirty paper, waxed paper, receipts
Glass
- Yes:Glass bottles and jars, without lids
- No:Mirrors, window glass, light bulbs, ceramics, porcelain
Organic
- Yes:Fruit and vegetable peels, coffee grounds, tea, eggshells, leaves
- No:Plastic, metal, glass, cooked food if your operator does not accept it
General waste
- Yes:Anything that cannot be recycled: diapers, cigarette butts, dirty leftovers
- No:Batteries, electronics, medicine, hazardous waste
Got a bottle with the SGR logo?
Bottles and cans with the deposit return logo do not go in the bin. Take them back to the shop and get your 50 bani deposit back.
Privacy
Your data stays with you
Colecto works without an account. Your schedule and settings are stored on your phone and included in its backup. Something goes to a server only when you choose: you scan a photo (which we don’t keep) or turn on family sync.

Questions?
How much does Colecto cost?
The app is free. AI scans are limited: 2 schedule scans a year and 5 item photos a month.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything works without an account. Your data stays on your phone; only family sync, if you turn it on, keeps that location’s schedule on the server, linked to a code.
Where does it work?
In all of Romania’s 13,700+ towns and villages. In Oradea you can find the official RER Vest schedule by street, and for the communes around Oradea we bring it in automatically. Everywhere else, scan your schedule from a photo or add it by hand.
What if the scan gets my schedule wrong?
You see the result before saving and can change anything: waste type, day, frequency or colour. You can also add everything by hand.
Can I share it with my family?
Yes. Turn on family sync and send the household code, or let them scan the QR code. The schedule and whether the bins are out reach everyone, and the app shows how many phones are synced.
What if my bins were not collected?
Tap “Missed pickup?” on the home screen. For RER Vest, Ecolect (Bihor) and Supercom (Cluj), Colecto drafts the complaint for you; you send it by email, through the operator’s form or by phone.
Do notifications work offline?
Yes. Reminders are scheduled on your phone and arrive even when you are offline.
When does it launch?
We are building the first version for iOS and Android. Launch is planned soon.
